Research lab · Chalmers University of Technology

We build AI systems that are usable in the real world.

AIXLab is a research lab at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology. We develop and validate machine learning and multimodal AI systems that integrate domain knowledge and are deployed in practice across healthcare, automotive, transport, and sustainable construction.

The LEAST framework

L
Learnable
New users can start working with the system and reach competence quickly.
E
Explainable
The system can clearly explain its reasoning whenever it produces an outcome.
A
Accessible
The system is usable for people with a wide range of abilities and disabilities.
S
Scalable
The system adapts to varying levels of demand without compromising user experience.
T
Testable
Components and behaviors can be clearly specified and effectively tested.
